Privacy

Your data should serve you.

Location

When you grant location access, Bellweather uses your location to show nearby forecasts and environmental observations. You can deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings.

Feedback and attachments

If you choose to submit feedback, Bellweather sends your written report and any images or voice memo you attach to our server. Basic app and device details may be included to help diagnose the issue. Submitted feedback is used to respond to your report and improve the app.

Microphone and photos

Microphone access is used only when you choose to record a voice memo. Photo access is used only when you choose images to attach to feedback. Bellweather does not record audio or select photos without your action.

Diagnostics

Bellweather may collect limited analytics and crash diagnostics to understand app performance and fix errors. These signals are not used to sell personal information or serve advertising.

Public data providers

The app requests forecast and observation data from public and third-party weather services. Those providers may receive routine network information such as your IP address when requests are made.

Retention and choices

Feedback and operational records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, and product improvement. You can use the feedback area in Bellweather to contact the team about a report or privacy request.
